Crasstalk COW: It Hurts So Good

Happy Friday, munchkins. Another week is gone in a flash. It’s March! That’s exciting, right? The vernal equinox is nearly here. Soon you’ll be springing your clocks ahead and pulling your coochie cutters out of the closet. First things first: let’s take a look back.

Remains of the Day

Well, Crasstalkers, you’ve had your share of flounces lately, but the yin to that yang is that at least one lurker has begun to comment and, last Friday, someone much loved returned to you.

Saturday

Lucky showed you what’s really happening in Homs. Bots invited you to the dancefloor with his Bangers and Mash mix.

Sunday

GtCosita taught you how to make patacones. Jarrod assessed the Best Actor and Best Actress Oscar categories. Knight of the Burning River told you about Sick Santorum’s new campaign strategy. Clarity83 told you about the dangers associated with hair relaxers. LaZiguezon shared another Five Abandoned Places. Missing peace and DQ gave you an Oscar fashion preview. Not everyone was wondering about the same stars’ sartorial choices.

Lauren analyzed the supporting acting categories, and later DQ hosted a liveblog of the awards telecast. One of you made a joke that seems frighteningly prescient.

Monday

BaldwinP provided some further NBA analysis. Miss Anita Manbadly threw some more santorum at you. Bots shared news that motorcycle riding will sharpen your brain tool. Heneage invited you to participate in an alternative to March Madness. MonkeyBiz recommended some political links. A Piece of the Continent prepared you for upcoming Mad Men recaps. Miss Anita reported on IBM layoffs. Rowen recapped Celebrity Apprentice, and Lauren recapped The Boring Dead. Momof3 reported on the death of Jan Berenstain. Meanwhile, in the OT, there was a bunch of drama followed by a silent flounce, and that’s all I’m saying about that. You also discussed the Oscars. At least, that’s how it started.

Tuesday

Lord Bots continued his not-so-secret admiration of Malachy. Momof3 asked which Muppet is your fave. Homoviper recapped a hotly anticipated episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race. DogsOfWar told you about a news program in Cleveland that uses puppets to recreate some court scenes. MonkeyBiz’s Tuesday political links can be seen here. Achilleselbow squashed Santorum with Plato. Miss Anita told you the exciting news that the Dow closed above 13,000 for the first time in nearly four years. The Grand Inquisitor hosted a Michigan/Arizona primary hootenanny. In the OT, one of you had a suggestion,

and one of you had a problem. Never underestimate the ability of Crasstalkers to turn any situation into comedy.

Leap Day

Bbqcornnuts wrote about male lactation. Hopefully, like Leap Day, that subject won’t come up again for four years. MonkeyBiz asked about your high school music memories. Rowen recapped Dancer in the Dark: The Early Years. Miss Anita figures you probably whored yourself to pay off your student loans. MonkeyBiz offered some more political links. Dogs reported on North Korea suspending its nuclear program so that its population cat eat. Lauren introduced a new feature, The Cutting Room, and also made some predictions about LiLo’s upcoming SNL gig. In the OT… this happened.

Thursday

Knight of the Burning River reported on the death of Andrew Breitbart.

Lucky shared 6 Videos You Should Watch. MonkeyBiz continued to wave his sausage at you. BaldwinP asked which fictional line of dialogue you would most like to use in real life. Lauren shared trailers for two upcoming animated features, and later Rowen hosted the Project Runway All Stars liveblog.

Friday

Bots shared the LMFAO/People of Wal-Mart mashup video you didn’t know you wanted. MonkeyBiz’s political links of the day are here. Miss Anita recapped Project Runway All Stars. Tyler asked you about unbreakable sports records, and Lauren reminded Democrats that Santorum winning the Republican nomination is Obama’s best chance at reelection. Dürer’s Rhino shared another Ten Photos with you. BadKarma told you about a law that threatens the existence of cat cafes in Tokyo and later asked you to visualize spring for this week’s PhotoPhriday. Then Lauren managed to sneak one more post into the schedule before my COW post, this one about a device that shuts people up. When will they adapt it for the internet?

COW

It’s no secret that you love to talk sex. What starts as an innocent conversation can become a parade of perversion in just a couple of replies, and conversely, filthy double entendres occasionally spawn serious discussions. In Monday’s OT, the accepted rules of BDSM play came into question (of course?), and one of you had the answer. I give you your Comment of the Week.

Good work, munchkins.

Until next week.

xx
