I was part of the first generation that enjoyed the benefits of Sesame Street as I was a year and a half old when it began in November of 1969. Muppets didn’t just stay in Sesame Street though. Aside from the countless movies, they also appeared in Fraggle Rock, Bear and the Big Blue House (a show I detested as a parent), and my favorite, The Muppet Show.
I am hard pressed to pick a favorite Muppet. I’m quite fond of Fozzie Bear, Scooter, Beeker, Animal, The Swedish Chef and Miss Piggy. If I had to choose, I’d probably say Kermit. I mean who hasn’t felt that it isn’t easy being green? In other words, who hasn’t felt like an outsider in their life?
