Rowen

Rowen spends his time fighting the forces of evil and over-caffinated tourists, using only his sparkling tiara action and a somewhat inappropriate mini-skirt. In his spare time he dates older men and questions their love at the drop of a hat. He's totally ok with not writing in kanji, since in 50 years, he's gonna be the ruler of the known universe and living in a crystal palace with a daughter who's got a horse fetish.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6: Meet the Foibles

dragraceWell, it’s RuPaul’s Drag Race time again!! Are you ready?! So, this has been broken up into two parts. Seven queens in one episode, seven in another, and two get eliminated. Interesting. So, we’re on part 1, which was partially shown online, for some of you. RuPaul explains that the winner gets a lot of money and a whole bunch of cosmetics.

The queens come in and yammer at each other, the way they do. RuPaul joins us all and introduces us to Mike Ruiz, the first photo challenge and the new pit crew. Never leave me, Sean Morales. However, the new crew has two new members, both sponsored by Scruff. Now, I’d forgive you if you had no clue they were, since both look to be waxed to within an inch of their lives. Continue reading

The Best Sound of Music, Live! Facebook Feed Posts

sound_of_music_cowSome of you actually saw the “Sound of Music, Live!” I’m willing to bet a lot of you had someone updating their Facebook about how awful it was. Mine was a riot, well, for the most part.

Since it seemed unfair to deprive the Crass Community of such gems, I’ve scoured my feed to bring you the Best of Rowen’s Sound of Music Facebook Feed. Note that there are no mentions of pizza. That could be a plus or a minus. Continue reading

Rowen’s Adventures At Kink Camp

campA few weeks ago, after ascertaining if I had a drivers’ license, a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to go with him to an adult sleep away camp… thing. What’s an adult sleep away camp… thing?

Well, at the time, I didn’t really know. He said it was a part of a group of adults who are pretty much fall into the category of “other.” Poly, bi, trans, gay, etc., and almost all into some form of kink. In fact, later, one of the guys in our car kept referring to it as kink camp, and that seems like the best appellation, so we’ll go with that. Continue reading

Dance Moms – We’re Back!

Dance momsWelcome back to Dance Moms! I’m excited, aren’t you? Unfortunately, I didn’t have cable last season, so I have no idea what happened. I’m assuming the girls danced and the moms yelled and something, something Maddie, Chloe, drama. Sound about right? Let’s get to the dancing!

Previously on Dance Moms, Kelly left and there was a HUGE audition to replace her kids. Lots of famewhores parents brought their daughters to audition and there was a big ruckus. We end up with a tall, skinny older girl named Allie (Ally?) who has a mom who looks like June from “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.” Continue reading

Crasseroles: Chicken Bake #2

Now that we’ve given our arteries a chance to unclog, it’s time to take a second foray into the world of Velveeta cheese product and cream of mushroom soup. This week’s recipe is the Chicken Rollups #2 (there was a first one?) featured on Crasstalker Cunning_Linguist’s blog Horrible Pinterest Recipes. Let’s just dive right in, shall we?

Once again, we’re using Crescent Rolls, which, on their own are rather good, but I have no idea why they’re in half these recipes as a base. I also question the constant use of onion flakes and garlic powder, among other things. Have none of these people heard of fresh ingredients? Are onions that difficult to procure in the Midwest? Feel free to answer any of these questions in the comments section. I also love how everything is fat free, like that’s really going to make a difference in this type of recipe. I guess every little bit helps. Continue reading

Crasseroles: I Actually Made the Dorito Taco Bake From ‘Horrible Pinterest Recipes’

Welcome to Crasseroles, kids! We have so many high end recipes that I thought we should delve into the world of cream of mushroom soup and Velveeta cheese. Hey, sometimes, you’re just craving something that’ll stick to your ribs.

This recipe came from of our own Cunning_Linguist’s “Horrible Pinterest Recipes.” Having browsed the recipes, I noticed some of them seemed theoretically good, in a Sandra Lee sort of way, but had some horrible photography, or an overuse of Velveeta cheese product, and some of them just made me want to run away screaming. So, using some of these recipes, and in the spirit of Dining with the Duggars, I thought it might be a good time to experiment with various casserole recipes! Join in the fun! Continue reading
