Game of Thrones is turning into the phenomenon we hoped it would be. Episode 8 on Sunday gave us a new series high during both showings.
There was a combined 3.6 million viewers for the night. The original airing was up 13% from episode 7. The audience has grown 22% since the premiere.

A few months ago the blogosphere was all abuzz with the personal article about a woman who hated her daughter. Concerned commenters pointed out that she sounded like she had real psychological problems (obviously) and it was more than just the Terrible Twos. The problem was and is not with mothers who sometimes get frustrated because Little Snowflake keeps painting the walls with his poop – having a very human “OMG you are so annoying!” moment is not what this woman was talking about. The issue with this woman was that she was putting the onus of responsibility to have a connection with her child on the child – not on herself. Women who have Borderline Personalities cannot form appropriate and healthy attachments to people – including their own children, and especially their own daughters.

This week Delta took some bad press thanks to YouTube and then decided to refund over $2800 in baggage fees they charged to US troops returning home through BWI in Baltimore, MD. The reason? A YouTube video made on the spot led to “national furor” over Delta charging them $200 on checking their fourth bag.

As everyone who’s ever passed the GRE knows, there are two major hypothetical operational problems with Star Wars lightsabers. More accurately I should say there were two problems, because I solved both of them while trying to fall asleep last night, shortly after mentally ranking the breasts of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
