Project Runway All-Stars Season 2 Episode 10 Liveblog

project-runway-all-stars-1 This season just chugs along, doesn’t it? Oh, well. Last week saw the exit of Ivy Higa… and yet another win for Anthony Ryan Auld. Another. Win. For a fairly pedestrian look! I don’t know what’s going on with this season, but it needs to stop. And what was with that weird Marchesa infomercial two weeks ago? Oy.

Anyway, tonight’s festivities involve the designers designing for Real Women–in this case, women of the Armed Forces. Ven Budhu would shit his pants, but something tells me that these “All-Stars” won’t complain about designing for Real Women. Did you miss us, darlings?

Right on the heels of a rather tepid season of Project Runway comes Project Runway: No Tim, Heidi, or Nina! Actually, it’s Project Runway: All-Stars…or the people who were comedy/drama magnets during their season. Either way, Lifetime hopes that you’ll find this batch of sewtestants intriguing enough to endure Yoplait and Activiaaaaaaaaa! commercials and promos for the next White Woman In Danger movie starring Rob Lowe. Project Runway All Stars: The Party’s Over


The final episode of this special season starts with our boys leisurely dressing themselves and Mondo sniping at Austin. A quick trip in what looks like a light spring rain (when was this filmed? 2010?) and “je suis arrivee” at Gotham Hall, which we last saw in the season finale episode of Chris March’s reality design show, Mad Fashion. Do you remember those beautiful innocent sunshine-filled days? The days before Lifetime wrought upon us this travesty of an “All Stars” season of Project Runway? We were brimming with hope, with joy, with possibility; all of it now dashed against the mossy river stones of Reality River. What is that I hear? Project Runway All Stars Liveblog: Is This Season Over Yet? Edition

A forlorn, perhaps scorned lover of ScorpionThis is the last episode before the finale, chickens. Hallelujah! Our national nightmare is almost over! And not a moment too soon because you just know that when you’ve reached the challenge that has the designers designing outfits for Mortal Kombat warriors, there’s a real god damn problem.

I do want to take a moment to express complete and utter bafflement that this very same challenge brought us both Austin Scarlett’s dreamy and romantic Van Gogh-esque gown and Kenley’s bastardized Nicki Minaj fashion (or “fashion lol” as I would call it).  Oh and whatever it is that the other guys made. Who cares?
