What Are Mormon Underwear?

Welcome to a new series of columns on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for people who are unfamiliar with the Mormon Church. Since Mitt Romney is a viable candidate for president, the religion is being discussed a lot. I, personally, had not heard much about the church before I moved to Colorado. The church is based in Utah and is much more common out west. Since moving here, I’ve had the opportunity to learn more about the church and thought I’d share some facts. Brian Moylan Leaves Gawker

In a brief post on the front page of Gawker this afternoon, it was announced that Brian Moylan is leaving Gawker Media. The post was short and did not give a reason for the separation or outline Moylan’s future plans. The announcement was followed by praise for Moylan from some of the other members of the Gawker staff but management was noticeably absent, whereas with Richard Lawson’s goodbye post Remy Stern had a few nice words. eBaying at the Moon: Taking Care of Business

The first time I purchased something on eBay was 1999—a gently used Nintendo64 from some guy in Kansas I think. It was remarkably pain-free, as far as buying something off the internet from a stranger goes. Over the years, I’ve made a number of varied purchases via the world’s biggest auction site. As the site has grown into the billion dollar behemoth it is today, so has the range of items you can purchase, which is both amazing and a little frightening. Continue reading

LMFAO and PeopleOfWalmart.com Mash-up is the Greatest Video Ever

This actually showed up on Youtube recently! Apparently some insane genius mashed up America’s two greatest cultural contriutions to the world: LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” and cell phone snapshots from PeopleofWalmart.com.

I appreciate the way the videographer matched up the photos with the lyrics. This is art, people.
