Before Phil Jackson ranted about bogus calls, before Sir Alex Ferguson got another five match ban for his outbursts and before Didler Drogba screamed into television cameras about a “motherfucking disgrace,” a Roman gladiator named Diodorus complained how a referee’s bad call cost him the match – on his epitaph.

Most gladiatorial epitaphs include details of the deceased’s professional life. This particlular tombstone was unusual, according to Professor Michael Carter of Brock University, because it told a story. Continue reading

Supreme Court Throws Out Class-Action Lawsuit Against Wal-Mart

In a 5-4 vote today, the Supreme Court decided a lawsuit claiming Wal-Mart discriminated against 1.5 million of its female employees did not qualify as a class-action lawsuit and will not be going foward. According to the justices, the plaintiffs were unable to show Wal-Mart had any common policies in place for discriminating against women workers, and individual store managers were allowed to promote and give raises at the manager’s discretion.

Porn Mogul Larry Flynt Offers Weiner a Job

Larry Flynt is a man not unfamiliar with the experience of an overly puritan society getting all pissy with you because you wanted to take some sexy photos and show them to the public. It’s perhaps not surprising, then, that Flynt offered Anthony Weiner a job with the internet group of his Flynt Management Group, LLC just hours after the now former Congressman resigned yesterday over revelations that he too has a fondness of taking photographs of a “romantic” nature.  Continue reading

No One Should Take Andrew Breitbart Seriously

In what kind of bizarro dimension would Andrew Breitbart continue to be taken seriously as a newsman despite his obvious lack of credibility and well documented history of lying and falsifying evidence? Unfortunately we’re living in that dimension and it’s becoming just all too ridiculous. With Anthony Weiner’s resignation all but confirmed it would seem that Breitbart has quashed yet another source of progressivism in American society. So long as American media continue to indulge Breitbart’s vile output he will remain a poisonous influence on public discourse and society at large. For the American public to save itself  they must stop taking Breitbart seriously.
