People who live in the apartments above Mars Bar in the East Village know how lucky they feel. They have to move out of their apartments while the building housing the former Mars Bar is demolished and rebuilt. They get to move back in two years later, and they will own a condo in the new 65-unit building for the princely sum of ten American dollars. For people who don’t already live there and who don’t qualify for this singular deal, there are some units left in the building, selling for $150,000 each.
