Photo Phriday: Getting Your Drank On

this is some great hoochIt has been entirely way too long since we had a Photo Phriday. This one is about one of our favorite subjects – adult beverages. Take a quick picture of what you are or will be enjoying and share it with the group.

I’m tapering off my detox so I will be enjoying some vino this evening. As a special treat to celebrate, I’m going to have a glass of this after my last car pool drop off at 8:30pm this evening. Probably pick up some cheese to go with it too.

Cocktail Saturday: Tomato Water Bloody Mary

Bloody-MaryRecently my husband and I have been watching a lot of Top Chef, which has been really fun. Thanks, Hulu! We’d only seen a few episodes on television, because we only had Bravo for a nanosecond in ’07.

However, it did give us an evening of fun a few years ago. We wrote a little “Top Chef” parody called “Cooking For Your Life” where cooking contestants didn’t realize that they’d signed onto a show where the loser would be hunted down by “Parma” and killed at the end of every episode. Gins You Should Drink

Gin is an interesting spirit in that there are people that love it (cough, cough Ofkie) and those who have had a bad experience with it. Despite having a few gangry moments (gin + angry = gangry), I do love gin. Since Saturday is World Gin Day and I spent the better part of Thursday writing gin tasting notes. QOTD: What’s Your Best Hangover Remedy?

Two drinks (doubles, granted, but still) and I’m out.  And will probably feel bad the next day. But nothing that time and a couple of quarts of Gatorade can’t fix.
