Todd Akin Would Like McCaskill to be More “Ladylike;” We Would Like Todd Akin to Stop Talking Forever

Oh, good Christ with a hammer. Todd Akin is speaking again. And of course his topic of choice is women. A topic he’s shown to be mentally handicapped at discussing. This time instead of making noxious commentary about what he thinks happens in the lady wombs of rape victims, he’s now observing behavior in his opponent in the Senate race, Claire McCaskill, that he’d like to share. And this time it’s a winner! No, not at all.

One day after gaining the support of the RNC and other prominent Republicans (if we’re calling Rick Santorum prominent) since being ostracized for his “legitimate rape” comments, Akin made comments Thursday about McCaskill that are reminiscent of some soda jerk working at a Woolworth’s “Five and dime” in 1946. He basically said that the opponent he faces now isn’t as “ladylike” as she was in 2006 facing Sen. Jim Talent (R-Mo.)

“I think we have a very clear path to victory, and apparently Claire McCaskill thinks we do, too, because she was very aggressive at the debate, which was quite different than it was when she ran against Jim Talent,” Akin said. “She had a confidence and was much more ladylike (in 2006), but in the debate on Friday she came out swinging, and I think that’s because she feels threatened.”

“Well, Gee Willikers, Hoss! Just what’cha gonna do now that the woman doesn’t want to act ladylike like we want?”

Within the last hour, Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) has called on the Republican Party to denounce Akin’s remark and revoke its support.

“Todd Akin is at it again with another comment that’s demeaning to women and offensive to all,” she said.

We’ll see if this latest F.U.B.A.R campaign fart of a comment from an odious jackass will reverberate negatively, since we have no idea what Akin considers to be “Ladylike.” Maybe he’ll explain further, which should be interesting and terrible. Todd meet shovel. However, we think it sounds like something carved from a horrible old magazine ad like this one.
