Mitt Romney is without a doubt the most painfully awkward man in the world.
Joe Scarborough, known Republican and morning political chat show host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, had a tough time yesterday sitting through the excruciatingly, awkwardly horrid Mitt Romney attempting not to be shown up by running mate, Paul Ryan, while at a recent campaign stop.
Mittens, we can only assume, chagrinned by the crowd’s shouting of “Ryan! Ryan!” took to the stage to lead the ticket’s supporters in a chant of “Romney/Ryan! Romney/Ryan!” in the most monotone, affect-less, tin can sounding verbiage ever uttered by a MittenDrone 2000 Campaign Bot. He really is patently awful at…speaking. There are just no two ways about it. The moment led Scarborough, originally a Romney supporter who as of late has deemed Romney all but defective, to cover his face in either second hand embarrassment, or just abject horror. “Oh, sweet Jesus,” he uttered. And if you’ve been watching Morning Joe recently you know exactly the context. “What the hell are we going to do with this guy?!” Man! That show sure becomes pretty somber whenever they talk about Mitt’s road to the White House.
Hoo-boy. Exactly.
