Snow White and the Seven COWs

Happy Friday, Crasstalkers. Another week has passed, and you managed to get through it without ripping one another to shreds. Mostly. Join me for a stroll down Memory Lane after the jump.

Remains of the Day

As last Friday drew to a close, Homoviper urged you to go see The Innkeepers. The newly anointed Steward of the Photo Phriday Tradition–BadKarma–asked for a peek at your junk. In the OT, one of you was moved to write a Crasstalk poem:

Saturday

Launie K. showed you how to make coffee-smoked southwestern chicken. Lauren recommended giving MTV’s I Just Want My Pants a try. DahlELama reported on the Romance Writers Association’s big gay problem. Later, Bots hit you with a sexy deep house mix.

Sunday

Cletar reported on the Nevada primary results. DogsOfWar helped you get your moving picture screen ready for the big game. LaZiguezon took you on a tour of five more abandoned places. One of you wasn’t suitably impressed, but fortunately another Crasstalker had an idea:

Oh, and there was a Madonna concert on television that started and ended with groups of bulging men chasing (and pouncing on) one another.

Monday

Ihatediamonds wrote about Althea Gibson for her continuing Black History Month series. Lauren explained that compatibility, as measured by online dating sites, doesn’t mean much. Jenna Maroney wrote a poignant post about Tyler Clementi. Lucky reported on Woody Harrelson’s Reddit AMA failure. Lauren told you about Republicans losing their shit over Clint Eastwood’s Super Bowl Chrysler ad.

Tuesday

Ihatediamonds’ Black History Month series continued with a look at Debi Thomas. CubeRootofPi reported on John Terry’s most recent racist name-calling incident. Homoviper recapped a very special episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Miss Anita Manbadly asked which of life’s lessons you found yourself relearning.

Lauren reported on the resignation of Komen Foundation VP, Karen Handel and later wondered if we needed another Spider-Man movie so soon. Queen de la Dance reported on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision to maintain that Prop 8 is unconstitutional–gay marriages for all! Lucky told you about the British government’s refusal to give Alan Turing a symbolic, posthumous pardon. In the OT:

you had some thoughts about the 2012 summer movie season

and provided a thorough stair-walking tutorial.

Wednesday

Ihatediamonds wrote a great post about Alice Coachman. Bots delved into the ways in which Stupids use Facebook. One of you had an explanation. Or was it a solution?

Rowen recapped another chapter of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Revenge of the Red Shoes. Cletar reported on the acceleration of Santorum, and CubeRootOfPi shared a collection of videos in which animals crash sporting events.

Thursday

Clarity83 took one for the team and reviewed The Vow. Miss Anita showed you which questions Siri doesn’t like to answer. Tyler analyzed the football season for you. Dorothy Barker wondered if it was time for the unlikable TV protagonist trend to be put to rest. Ihatediamonds’ Black History Month series continued with a look at key ladies in the worlds of college and professional basketball. Lauren introduced you to Todd, that jerk who keeps getting promoted while spend your days fantasizing about a way out. DahlELama wrote a love letter to The Vampire Diaries. Later, Miss Anita dished on some iPad 3 rumors, Lauren gave you a Hollywood Caller and Cunning_Linguist hosted a liveblog of Poor Excuse for Project Runway. In the OT, one of you described some side effects of a sleep aid:

You also welcomed some Gwkr refugees to Crasstalk. Cross your fingers that they survive their first Thunderdome.

Friday

Knight of the Burning River took a close look at what Dick Santorum’s recent triumphs mean for his campaign. Bots directed you to a letter from God of Money, Warren Buffett, which explains why gold is a bad investment. Tchotchke tried to steal my thunder, and I will scratch her eyes out asked which Crass comments stick in your mind the most. SusanBAwesome told you about a nominee for the Father of the Year Award. Ihatediamonds ended this week in her series by giving some perspective. Dürer’s Rhino made your Friday afternoon a little less dreary with another fabulous Ten Photos post, and Miss Anita recapped Project Runway All Stars. Lauren wrote at length about hater of ladies, Dick Santorum.

COW

You love to joke with Rowen about Dance Moms, but Bots made a startling admission about Rowen’s recaps in Tuesday’s OT. Still, the opportunity for a joke is never allowed to sneak by:

Nice work, munchkins.

Until next week.

xx

Glinda
