Forbes Releases Celebrity 100 List

“Holy shitballs!” was how Bethenny Frankel described her feelings about being on the cover of the most recent Celebrity 100 edition of Forbes magazine. Holy shitballs is right. This year Bethenny made about $55 million dollars. It feels like just the other day she was the poor, downtrodden Real Housewife of New York City peddling her brand Bethenny Bakes at every function imaginable but now everything has changed. The reality shows that made her famous only “earned” her about $700,000 last year but she definitely owes alot of her success to them. She has multiple best-selling books and other business ventures including her brand SkinnyGirl Cocktails and its premier drink the SkinnyGirl Margarita. In fact, she recently inked a deal for her brand of drinks which netted her a reported $100-$120 million dollars. All of things considered, she is now probably the wealthiest of all the New York City Housewives and she isn’t even on the show anymore.

You know what’s better than a million dollars? A billion dollars, of course, and Bethenny seems to think that the SkinnyGirl brand could eventually make her a billionaire. Gisele also seems to be on her way to joining the club with Forbes predicting that she is on her way to becoming the worlds first billionaire supermodel. In addition to marrying Tom Brady, Gisele has been expanding into retail by selling clothes, lingerie, and footwear. If she plays her cards right, she could add millions to her already staggering income which is estimated at $45 million dollars.

We all know Lady Gaga said she went “broke” by personally paying for her last tour but her 2010 earnings are estimated to be around $90 million. The  tour that supposedly sent her to the poor house grossed $170 million after 137 shows. Yet, all this money apparently doesn’t keep her from feeling like the loser she used to be in high school but even that fact has been disputed. Either way, she is keeping people entertained and is now certainly very rich and very popular regardless of her past.

Athletes also fared pretty well in 2010. Even though LeBron lost to the Mavericks he still earned $48 million dollars last year. However, all this money won’t help his attitude. With a rapidly declining Q score maybe LeBron should try a little harder on the court and not expect an NBA title to be handed to him. Maria Sharapova and Roger Federer are also having problems with their performance on court but their incomes have stayed strong at $24 million and $47 million, respectively.

Then finally, we have Justin Bieber. He was ranked third on the Celebrity 100 this year right behind Oprah and Lady Gaga. Apparently, he is very influential and earned $53 million this past year, eeesh. His film earned $100 million while each of his concerts grossed about $600,000 in ticket sales per night.
