Des Moines Register Endorses Romney

The Des Moines Register has endorsed Mitt Romney for president. This is their first endorsement of a Republican presidential candidate since the spectacularly successful presidency of sweaty felon Richard Nixon.

The endorsement was not without controversy, according to reports, with considerable whiskey-fueled shouting coming from the editorial offices. “Mr Romney exudes a virile, Nixonian charm, a heady can-do musk that will get this country back to work,” the endorsement drunkenly opines.  The logic-free piece praises President Obama’s stimulus package, rambles a bit, and then asserts that consumer and business confidence will rise through a magical, unexplained process if Nixon Romney is elected. Massachusetts Tackles Health Care Payments

In Massachusetts, home of RomneyCare, legislators are taking a new look at health care costs and are proposing new ways to bring those costs down.

Since instituting the universal, individual mandate healthcare coverage the Commonwealth has been forced to address the question of skyrocketing healthcare costs. More people on insurance and more government funded health plans has brought the inequities of commercial insurance payouts to light. Continue reading

Netflix is Winning the Internet at the Expense of Cable Companies

Netflix has basically won the internet by garnering almost 30 percent of peak internet traffic per day which is up from 20 percent almost six months ago.

Late to the party as usual, cable companies are now searching for ways to tame the beast. They have decided to put a cap on the amount of data a customer can use each month in hopes that they will keep their cable services in lieu of watching shows online. They could have gone the Hollywood route and tried to work with Netflix, but no they want viewers all to themselves.  They want world domination AND a happy ending. Little do they know, this will do nothing to curtail the impending thousand year rule of Netflix.
