Increasingly irrelevant huckster Glenn Beck is outraged again. This time because students in a Texas Spanish class were forced to recite actual Spanish for an assignment about the Mexican War of Independence. Clearly, Achieve Early College High School in McAllen, Texas wants the terrorists to win.
The incident occurred last month, but apparently the parent complaining about the incident did not have an important enough publicist to reach Mr. Beck until yesterday. According to the Blaze, students had to memorize the Mexican National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance and stand up and recite them in class.
15-year-old sophomore Brenda Brinsdon decided that this was utter communism and refused to participate. She also video taped the other students who participated in the assignment and posted it to YouTube. Note to Brenda: posting your classmates struggling with their assignments on the internet is an utter bitch move. Enjoy spending prom night alone.
Anyway, now the looney right is explaining that this is multiculturalism gone mad and that it was extra offensive because it was during the week of 9/11, and ZZzzzzzzzz… Huh? Sorry, dosed off there. The comments are as always epic. Here is my favorite so far.
