One brave internet explorer has dared to ask the question “Who is Bari M. Shabazz?” We here at Crasstalk feel such a question deserves an answer. The answer is he’s a figment of your imagination, Mr. Rob McEwen. Allow me to explain.
Let’s go through some of Mr. McEwen’s claims from his website and debunk them line by line.
It is known for sure that:
some claim that Obama is Malcolm X’s “love child”
It is not, however, known who these some people are.
And there really DID exist a person named Bari M. Shabazz who lived in Hawaii during the early 80s and claimed to be from New York. He got into a terrible car accident, which is documented on an official Hawaii government web site. A copy of that on-line report can be viewed here. As shown, this person was ordered to show up at a court date with his New York driver’s license. He never showed up and became a fugitive of the Hawaii law. Then, several years ago, someone went out of their way to close that case. This much is known for sure.
This is true. There is a Bari M. Shabazz who lived in Hawaii. In fact there was a whole family of Shabazzes all of whom seem to have had some trouble with the law. There was also a joint family of Obamas and Dunhams living in Hawaii as recalled by multiple sources.
As shown in the video found here, Obama and Malcolm X look EXTREMELY alike… much more so than the resemblance between him and either Barack Sr. or Frank Marshall Davis! WITHOUT EXCEPTION… those who laugh that off… stop laughing when they hit PLAY on THIS video!
Here the author presents a number of blurry images taken at odd angle most of which require the viewer to imagine what Malcolm X would look like without his glasses. We don’t have to do that! Here is an actual picture of Malcolm X without his glasses and a similar picture of Barack Obama. Yes. They are indeed both African American men. That, however, is where the similarities end. You know who Barack really looks like? His mother!
Malcolm X’s last name was “Shabazz”
This point and the following point prove the idiom that even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Malcolm X’s confirmed children go by that same last name, “Shabazz”…
Bari M. Shabazz’s first recorded residence, while an infant, was a 3-minute drive (or 8-minute walk) from Malcolm X’s home at that time.
That may be true. Barack Obama and his mother, however, were all the way on the other side of the country at that time. Here’s another thought. Shabazz was not Malcolm X’s given name. It was, in fact, a name he took after joining the Nation of Islam. I wonder if it might be possible that someone living an 8-minute walk from someone else might attend the same church. I also wonder if it might also be possible for someone attending the same church to have adopted a similar last name as a result of a similar affiliation.
Bari M. Shabazz (allegedly) died, but the death report has indicators that show that his death wasn’t “verified”, and has lingering “inconsistencies” UNANSWERED QUESTIONS: Why was there NOT a death certificate? Where/how did the death occur? Where is the grave/body? Was the fact that this poorly documented “death” occurred just before Obama’s first run for public office a coincidence?…or was Obama “tying up loose ends”?
I am shocked (shocked) that someone who is known to have had trouble with the law might have died under strange, not-very-well-documented circumstances. Shocked I say!
Barack Obama went by “Barry” when he was young. Could there be a connection between the extremely phonetically similar “Bari” and “Barry”?
No.
Mr. McEwen then goes on to repeat tired theories that have been debunked numerous times regarding the veracity of Obama’s public records and the source of his social security number. I’m not going to re-invent the wheel here by trying to debunk those theories again when it has already been done so thoroughly in the posted sources.
This leaves us with the question of why these theories are racist. I would like to see your thorough analysis on the lineage of George W. Bush or Bill Clinton. I’d like to see your outrage over the fact that Martin Van Buren was suspected to have been born in Holland or that Chester Arthur very likely could have been Canadian. Don’t have any of those things? Oh. Ok. I rest my point.
