Things You Tell Yourself When Your Team Loses

My beloved Spurs were knocked out of the NBA playoffs on Saturday. This is the first time since the 2010-2011 season that they failed to make it out of the first round. That’s actually pretty good for any NBA team, but as a fan it’s kind of a tough pill to swallow. Especially since they won the Championship last year.

The 66 games in 123 days are over.  Linsanity is a distant memory.  The Bobcats wish their worst-winning-percentage-in-NBA-history was a distant memory.  The Lakers were too old and washed up, and now they’re back.  The Spurs were too old and washed  up, and now they’re back.   The Celtics were… look, there’s a bit of a theme going on here.
