Here In The In-Between

On a night in Corpus Christi, along the old Gulf Coast, I came up from quiet water to see the Nehi moon. It was orange, the color of soda, but instead of effervescence it hinted at airborne filth, a heavenly stain turned loose by an earth so long ignored by the selfsame sky. Rain had forsaken the land. Your Christmassy COW

It was a busy week, with lots of nominations made to [email protected]! Greatly appreciated and if you don’t see your nomination this week please don’t be discouraged, there was a high quantity of quality and a cull was needed. I don’t know if Things Twee People Do should be some sort of new series here on Crasstalk. Really, how many would fit into this category? There can’t be like whole legions of twees out there, right? The Best American Political Moments of 2011

Well, it has been an exciting year in politics. From Tunis to Boston people took to the streets to demand change. Meanwhile, the world’s politicians continued with their usual asshattery, especially in the US, where another election promises more annoying declarations from the sad group of candidates who seek our votes. The Crasstalk News and Politics team has been here to hold your hand as we pass the horrific car accident that is our future, and we have picked out a few choice moments of the year for you to laugh at through the tears. Here are our picks for the best (and by best we mean lulzy) political moments of the year. Continue reading →
