Have you heard about the newish micro-genre of dance music called moombahton? No? OK, old folks, put down your can of Ensure for a second and turn the volume up so that the next time your nieces and nephews come over you have something to talk about. Continue reading
Last night I was inspired by you guys and your argument over booty calls — so I made a mix for the kids. It starts off kind of slow and spacey but doesn’t stay that way for too long.

Should San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith have scored the go-ahead touchdown against the New Orleans Saints? Maybe not. Continue reading
Editor’s Note: I’m reposting this today in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Has there ever been a more talented human being than Bill Cosby? Yeah, he may have gone far off the deep end of get-off-my-lawn crankiness in recent years, but not only was he maybe the greatest standup comedian of all time and starred in and produced one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, but he actually is a pretty amazing composer and musician.

So not surprisingly, it’s a treasure trove of great videos. Let’s take a look. Continue reading
The legendary New Jersey-based house DJ Tony Humphries simply described house as “sped up R&B music.” Sounds good to me!
Join me for some classic deep house tracks. As usual, there’s no cover. Ladies drink free before 11 p.m. No Tims, sneakers or gang colors. Mature and sexy. Continue reading
That would seem to be the message of this excellent political ad:
I love awful campaign ads. In general, the more southern/Republican they get, the more entertaining they are. Continue reading
