The term “bucket list” is as tired and cliche as game changer, hand crafted, and pivot (the political strategy). But we all have a short or long list of places we want to go, things we’d like to do and sites we’d like to see.
What’s on your list, and why?
Here are mine, in no particular order:
- A lap on the 21-kilometer Nurburgring in a BMW M5 Ring Taxi.
- Take Alaska’s Dalton Highway from the Arctic Circle to the end of the road and dip my toes in the Arctic Ocean.
- Mayan pyramids.
- Ride a horse across the plains of Mongolia.
- Hitchhike the Road of Bones (of Long Way Round fame) from Yakutsk to Magadan in the Russian Far East.
- Tours of the factories and museums of Maserati, Ferrari, and Lamborghini in northern Italy.
- Monaco Grand Prix.
- All of Central America, from Guatemala City to Yaviza, Panama, by bus.
- Trans-Siberian railroad.
- A food tour of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong.
