So Vulture compiled its thoroughly entertaining listicle of the Top 25 Most Devoted Fan Bases this week. It was a pretty simple exercise: A bunch of bloggers came up with a ranking of the bands, movies and other assorted Hollywood crap that have the most fanatical followings.
We wouldn’t be a true internet hate-blog if we didn’t spend our time picking it apart and pointing out its glaring omissions.
Here’s the list that Vulture came up with:
25 – Mad Men
24 – The Real Housewives
23 – Lil B
22 – Stephen Colbert
21 – Phish
20 – Kevin Smith
19 – Insane Clown Posse
18 – Neil Gaiman
17 – Bruce Springsteen
16 – True Blood
15 – Oprah
14 – Star Trek
13 – Community
12 – Joss Whedon
11 – Tyler Perry
10 – Arrested Development
9 – Doctor Who
8 – Lady Gaga
7 – Hunger Games
6 – Lord of the Rings
5 – Justin Bieber
4 – Harry Potter
3 – Twilight
2 – Star Wars
1 – Game of Thrones
“Star Trek” at 14? Harumph! I AM OUTRAGED AND WILL BE TRANSMITTING AN ANGRY LETTER TO THE EDITOR, TOUTE SUITE. No but really, I dont’ even like “Star Trek” but that is outrageous! I mean, “Community” has been around for like eight weeks, tops.
So the big question I have for you nerds is: Which fan bases have been most overlooked by the editors of Vulture? Here’s my vote:
NO LOVE FOR MOZ??????!?!??!? Because really, his fans are not only truly fanatical, but they’re always one missed trigger warning away from having a collective emotional meltdown. I love them.
