Your Friday Night DJ Mix
(Now With Extra James Brown)

Kitteh!

Put your hands in the air, Crasstalkers. Bens is over at the hospital visiting a sick family member today but he wanted to hit you cats with a few tasty bits of Friday night funk.

Here’s a little appe-teaser: It’s the Kraak & Smaak remix of the song “Man of Constant Sorrow.” Yes, that’s that tune you remember from “O Brother Where Are Thou?” This version came out on the album “The Remix Session.” Enjoy.

Whoa, Bens. That was mellow! Now let’s kick up da funk. I’ll let Bens introduce this next joint:

It’s renowned funky house DJ, DJ Dan playing a 1994 tribute to James Brown. 60 mins of JB remixes. I ripped the tape, but the quality was lacking, but somehow these dudes have a cd/dat version (the tradeoff is you have to listen to them talk over the first 30 seconds.) This is a classic that has been out of print for 15 years.

Just hit play below. (Or click here to download the mp3.) Unless you hate James Brown. In that case, I hope Hurricane Irene hits only your house and nowhere else.
