Traveling the Entire Pan-American Highway by Bus

securedownload-1Since 2007, I have been traveling the length of the Western Hemisphere, incrementally, by bus. The trips have, for the most part, followed the Pan-American Highway, which stretches from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, next to the Arctic Ocean, down to Ushuaia, Argentina, in Tierra del Fuego. I am 90% done, having held out Colombia until the peace process with the FARC rebels is a done deal. Buzz Kill – Stupid Liquor Laws

Jenna’s request for marketing ideas for a wine shop job led to some cool ideas, but sadly most were illegal under the strict liquor laws of NYC. Liquor laws protect a variety of entities, but generally NOT the consumer.  Most laws do not give consumers greater choice or lower prices. Some laws appear to offer some protection for over indulging, like Blue Laws, but often the real reason behind their continuation has little to do with preventing over consumption.
