I was recently out with friends having frozen dranks (no, not in a hott tubb, unfortunately) when the talk somehow turned to manscaping. One of my friends, a straight (and not particularly metrosexual) dude, mentioned that he trims the hair down below. “It’s one of the little things I do that I know women appreciate,” he said. And the women we were with (all in their late 20s or early 30s) all gave the thumbs up.
This blew my mind. I’ve never even considered shaving down there. And I’d never heard a woman say she liked the smooth ‘n bald look or had one ask me to trim the shrubbery. When the ladies all expressed their love of the shorn look, my brain’s gears all suddenly ground to a halt. Where am I? What year is it? What’s going on?
Now I consider myself slightly metrosexual, but this seems to be taking things too far. What’s wrong with a manly tuft of pubic hair? Hair is natural, it’s who we are and we shouldn’t be ashamed of it. I am firm in my convictions that we need to get back to nature! I will never support this pro-shaving trend.
Except for women. Ladies, you should always shave. Always.
