The impossibly-tacky lifted Dodge pickup truck that Kenny Powers “inherited” when his shit-kicking friend Shane died is for sale.
Fans of the third season of HBO’s Eastbound and Down will instantly recognize the flame-painted Dodge as Kenny’s third-favorite mode of travel that season (after the baby blue Can-Am Spyder and his boogie board with the Confederate flag-and-pot leaf design).
If you’re true fan like I am, you’re undoubtedly wondering how cool it would be to roll around in a ridiculously accessorized truck with red flames and lambo doors, constantly hearing “You’re fucking out” yelled at you from other EB&D fans in the know.
Well thanks to the local TV network in Wilmington, N.C., the ultimate EB&D fan just might be able to drive off in style. It seems that the actual owner of the pickup truck was working on the show’s set when McBride discovered the Dodge in all its glory.
Kenny Powers’ truck from season three is on sale. The actual owner of the flamed-out truck worked on the set of the show for all three seasons, but now he’s ready to get rid of his ride. He’s asking for a cool $15,000 for his 2005 Dodge Ram. The truck has more than 120,000 miles on it, but since it’s been on Eastbound and Down, the owner doesn’t think he will have trouble selling it.
I love the fact that this wasn’t just a prop — someone was actually rolling around town in fully Kenny style. It looks like the owner of this Hemi-powered monstrosity tried to sell it on eBay last month but the auction ended without any bids. Don’t panic, though!
