QOTD: Unwritten Job Responsibilities

Every job has those responsibilities that are key to someone’s success in the position, but never make it into the job description or the interview process. The reason for this is that if they did, no one would want the job, or would demand such outrageous compensation to do it that it would remain unfilled.

For example, a large portion of my job involves babysitting people that are several rungs up the corporate ladder from me, and pacifying them when they throw a temper tantrum.

What’s yours?
