Coming Attractions: The Game of Thrones to Still Make Us Want to Punch Joffrey ‘Lannister’ Baratheon’s Face In

That little incestuous monster spawn is still a smug joke of a king, Cersei may get what’s coming to her, and Tyrion perhaps is finally coming into his own. Season two of The Game of Thrones has us so excited it’s like a damnable Westeros Christmas.

We don’t see too much here, but what we can gather from this first full-length trailer is for some there will be a reckoning. Many of our favorite characters are back, and my goodness is everyone upset. This little kingdom full of double crosses, intrigue, dastardly villains — and well, dragons — looks like it’s on the precipice of something truly epic. So many questions are raised in just the first couple of minutes. How long will the Lannisters be able to maintain control? Will the Starks rise up? And just what will happen with all these new dragons that we suppose are being trained and groomed by their dragon-mother to commit some great big, crazy, damage on all those who have wronged her? We’re willing to bet she doesn’t need Drogo now.

Oh, yes, things are about to get all topsy-turvy, and at the center is one smallish man who may be the key to it all. Does he hate his siblings? Is he loyal? OR will he finally realize that they and his goddamned maniac nephew twice over need to be put down. Can he turn against them, or does the Lannister blood run too deep?

Nothing is clear, but that is all part of the Game. Will you be playing on April 1st?
