Enough is Just Enough with the Gaddafi Death Footage

Yes, he’s dead. The world is a better place for it. And really, if you live by the sword, you die by the sword.

However, at some point I’d prefer those two-dimensional animated re-enactments depict the events of the capture and death of some heinous, disgusting, crazed, devil. I can really do without the various photos and video footage of the death of an evil man on an endless loop, and popping up like some sort of cannibalized zombie from the worst horror movie ever on my computer screen.

I’d like to not feel as though what I’m witnessing is too brutal for the most brutal of men. I believe in justice, but I don’t enjoy witnessing anyone taking abject glee in death. It’s just unsettling, and makes me question how far we are from being the diabolical cretin brutalized. And above all else we don’t want to elicit sympathy from any loyalists, or supporters, or Zeus forbid, martyr that maniac.

So really, media, let’s understand the gravity of the situation, ponder the future of Libya, and even credit the Libyan people, NATO, and the U.S. for their part in ridding the world of an odious human being, but still close this chapter of “Celebrating the death of Muammar Gaddafi” pretty soon, eh? And that would include showing any and all footage, pictures, and YouTube videos of a bloodied, dying, dead, and now STORED IN A SHOPPING MALL MEAT LOCKER Gaddafi.

Okay?

Thanks.
