QOTD: What’s Your Favorite Old-School Video Game?

Once upon a time, video games were simple:  A joystick, a button, and a singular, often repetitive, goal. For those of us born in the late 70s and early 80s, these 8-bit button mashers ate up hours many of us could have used developing actual, tangible skills.

Try selling that to a 7 year old with Pac-Fever.

Admittedly, as much as I enjoyed my Pac-Man, the game I played the ever-loving crap out of was Burgertime.

Yes, I spent way too many quarters for the right to play a chef chased around by hot dogs, eggs, and pickles. Classy.

Of course, there are people who take old school games even more seriously than I ever did.

The guy with the mullet? I just don’t.

So, what button mashers can you still pick up and love, even today?
