QOTD: The Fridge Is Empty

You need dinner and the only things in the refrigerator are a jar of pickles the neighbor made, a range of completely inoffensive condiments, and something that might have been protein once and now can only be described as chickenporkfish. Today’s QOTD:

What is your emergency supper plan?

Do you go out? Order in? Cook the three-year-old box of Rice-a-Roni in the back of the pantry?
Just drink?

I usually order Chinese from the place up the block. One order crab rangoon, one order fried dumpling, and one General Tso’s or orange chicken with brown rice and and an extra spring roll. That makes dinner for two and lunch for one the next day. If we’re not feeling Chinese, I can almost always be persuaded against my better judgment to run to Char-Grill (Better than In-n-Out!) for a cheeseburger and fries.

What do you do when the cupboard is bare?
