And it. is. AWESOME. Forgive me, but I have just had a nerdgasm. Many Superman fans were worried that Zack Snyder was going to deliver a “Superman” movie that was all flash, no substance, and would tarnish the memory of the beloved Christopher Reeve Superman movies (well, excluding III and IV). Some were a little worried about the inclusion of Zod and the changes to Superman’s iconic uniform.
If the movie is anything like this trailer, I think those fears can be put to rest. This trailer is nothing short of epic. It looks like we’ll get a lot of Superman/Clark as a kid, struggling to deal with his emerging powers, his search for his origins, and a slam-bang bunch of action–something that was sorely lacking in Bryan Singer’s somnolent “Superman Returns.”
Oh, and when you watch this, watch it in 1080 and fullscreen. Also, if you’re watching closely, you’ll catch a nice homage to the original Superman movies.
