So, it’s been brought to my attention that we have a number of new commenters that have started cropping up over the last couple of weeks. As such, I feel like it’s my responsibility to re-introduce the Comment Of the Week and the process.
It goes a little something like this:
- A fellow commenter says something amusing, insightful, or helpful.
- You set down the vodka and take a screen shot of the comment, and send it off to [email protected].
- I compile these emails, (all of which remain totally anonymous) select out the best, and put together this little post, which amuses most of you.
- Profit.
Okay, nobody is making any money on this, I’ll be honest. Hey, it fit the model.
So, what good stuff did we get this week?
Well, admittedly, I’m a sucker for bad jokes:
Also, bad puns, with a side of ugly truth.
We also had an article about Insane Clown Posse this week. I’m not sure if this was about ICP, this odd mix of them rapping over classical music, or Juggalos, but I think it’s applicable to all of the above.
One of our commenters also had a brush with with a ‘celebrity’. If by ‘celebrity’ you mean ‘fear-mongering, racist hate-machine’.
What can I say? I share all of those sentiments.
At the beginning of the week, much of the East Coast was still dealing with the worst of Hurricane Irene. Not everyone was handling it well, but it made for great commenting.
And that’s how you win, double-time.
