Your Pet’s Relationship to Your Vet

We’ve all been to doctors that misdiagnose that Ebola as strep throat. No? Well, maybe just me. But the point is this: your pets can’t verbalize their symptoms.

If you own pets, you hopefully have a regular vet. But how close are you to your vet? Is this a large practice where you see whichever vet’s available, or is Dr. Smith the type of doctor that recognizes the Shark (your bite-y Chihuahua) when you walk in?

While yearly vaccinations and basic exams are, truly, mandatory for your pets, it does always help to have a strong relationship with your pets’ vet. That way, if Princess gets bitten at the dog park, or Captain Jack Meowwrow seems to be acting weird, you’ll not only be able to get an appointment faster but get the individualized attention you’d expect from your own medical care provider.
