Nerd News Roundup: Tales From the Trailer Park

Good news everyone! Besides hearing the previous sentence in Professor Farnsworth’s voice, I’ve also found a fresh batch of the nerdiest news around.  This week, we’re going to learn that you really should just grow up and one woman completely unwilling to do so. We’ll unlock the “secret” of Marvel’s upcoming comics. And finally, we’ll take a look at some coming attractions. All this and Godzilla in this week’s Nerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrd News Roundup!

Games

  • Kathy Lee Gifford and Donny Deutsch have spoken: If you are over the age of 30, you are no longer allowed to read the GAMES section of this article. Move along.
  • I guess exclusives are probably better than increased security. No one wants that.
  • Because the reason you started playing the game in the first place was to avoid spending hours customizing your own little army. At least you don’t have to explain the paint on your fingers anymore.
  • Now we can debate who will be injured due to the “Zuma Curse“.
  • The ECA would like to protect your right to post crappy machinima on YouTube.

Comics

  • Oh-my-gosh-it-is-a-new-Speed-Racer-Comic-Book-and-it-will-be-great-because-Speed-will-be-fast-and-win-the-race-for-sure!
  • Really? Anyone with knowledge of video games (and below the age of 30, right) knows that glowy bits mean something. This is no exception.
  • Is it really that she sexually harassed people or that she apparently has the brain of a 13-year old boy?

Movies

  • This of course means that this re-imagining will be dark and gritty, yet surprisingly grounded.
  • A Bourne movie minus Jason Bourne makes no damn sense! Wait, he’s in it? Well maybe just a peek.
  • This could very well be the best horror movie idea ever.
  • [Insert droll and overused Sherlock Holmes pun here]
  • It’s good to see that toned down the creepiness factor since The Polar Express. Seriously, Tom Hanks cold, dead, digitized eyes still haunt me.
  • Batman is such a little tease.

That’s all the time we have for now. Tune in next time when we learn how to craft a Zero Point Module out of Pepsi cans, Rock Candy and compressed subspace.
