Political partisans tend to fall into the trap of mischaracterizing their opponents. This generally manifests itself as low-level innocuous stuff. Coastal liberals may think southerners are all gun-toting, bible thumpers or midwestern conservatives may think of city dwellers as metrosexual peaceniks.
