90th Academy Awards and Red Carpet Liveblog

Welcome to the 90th Academy Awards live blog, Crasstalk.

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel is returning to host; in the year that’s passed, he’s raised the profile of his nightly talk show by wading into the political fray on issues like gun control and healthcare, and will have to navigate the tricky path of  being funny while paying fair credence to an industry continuing to reckon with #metoo, and the usual questions about diversity in the bestowal of critical/institutional prestige.

Who are you rooting for, Crasstalk? Who’s been (or will be) snubbed? Are you hoping for another massive “La La Land”-level snafu? Whose red carpet ensemble could cast someone blind with its tackiness?

Tell me in the comments.
