Women Are Cutting Their Hair and it Means Things

short-hair-apocalypseIt all started with Jennifer Aniston. She cut her hair into a bob. Various theories have emerged as to why she has made such a dramatic move. After all, Jennifer Aniston is her hair. It means everything. Why would she take such a society-altering step?

  • Celebitchy thinks she may be trying to be edgy to get Justin Whatshisface back.
  • There are rumors she got a Brazilian hair treatment in an effort to win Justin Theolhipster back and it went horribly awry.
  • Her hair was thin because she’s not 25 anymore (my theory).
  • It’s a publicity stunt to promote her new hair line.

Jennifer Lawrence did a full-on pixie cut to promote her movie. Next, Reese Witherspoon did it because she is in cahoots with Jennifer Aniston. Never one to miss out on a trend, Chelsea Handler also cut her hair. There is speculation that she did it because she’s stalking Jennifer Aniston. That’s actually probably not out of the question. It looks cute, though. Beyonce jumped on the pixie cut bandwagon but then added bob extensions so the world would continue to turn on its axis properly.

What does it all mean? Are women trying to be more like Miley Cyrus? Is it a silent revolution? Will it spread to the masses? Will hairstylists turn away women who request a mere trim instead of a massive chop? Are shaved heads next?

I, personally, am all good with this. I have wearied of the long hair. This may be partially out of jealousy because I have thin hair that looks horrific long. Have you watched the Robin Thicke video? Mostly, all I could think was “I really want those girls to brush their hair.” I barely noticed the tatas. Bad extensions are ruining America.

I love long, beautiful, natural hair. It’s gorgeous and I would sell my soul to have it. I have no beef with women who have the real thing. It just isn’t going to happen for me. It’s the ratty extensions and wretched bed hair that I’ve wearied of.

I am thrilled to see the bob come back because it means I have a shot at being stylish. I recently cut my hair and hear are the potential meanings because a haircut is never just a haircut.

  • I am mimicking the woman across the street because I’ve decided to stalk her.
  • I’m afraid my husband may leave me for a woman with better hair.
  • I’ve decided to be an edgy mom and housewife because that is a thing that exists.
  • I’m going to steal Justin Thermoux from Jennifer Aniston.
  • I saw a picture of my long ratty hair and thought “Dear God. Something must be done.
