I’ve accidentally seen Chelsea Peretti do stand up twice. Once she opened for Sarah Silverman and once for Aziz Ansari. Both times she was great, a good performer and a great laughs. But it wasn’t until I started to follow her on Twitter that I realized just how awesome she is. Allow me to enlighten you as to why you should get to know Chelsea Peretti a little bit better.
Most comedians treat Twitter as a place to toss out one liners and promote their shows, which is fine and I appreciate that’s a good use of the medium. But Chelsea Peretti manages to do that and let her everyday human neuroses, fears, laughs and truths come out as well. Maybe this is all a little “celebrities, they’re just like us” but she says what we’re all thinking and feeling but is just better at putting it into words. For example, have you ever freaked out about mold in your home or even about the thought of it?

But when she commits to something she really commits to it. From Instagram:
Getting more to the honesty of what we do vs what we want other people to think we do, the real story of a long weekend:
What r ur guyses Mem Day plans? Thinkin charge my phone then run it down to zero then charge it then run it back d to z until nitefall!

I’m probably not really doing her justice since trying to explain funny is by definition unfunny. But do yourself a favor and just hit that follow button.
