According to the Slate/@GunDeaths project, over 1600 Americans have been killed by gun violence since the murders at Sandy Hook. Will the new bipartisan House bill make a dent in gun deaths? This week seemed to have more unusual gun deaths than expected. Let’s look at some of the gun incidents this week
- A prosecutor in Texas was shot five times in front of the courthouse. The suspects still have not been found.
- Chris Ryan, author of American Sniper, was killed at a firing range in Texas.
- Jimmy Lee Dykes, a doomsday prepper, shot a bus driver dead then kidnapped a five year old boy. The hostage situation ended when the police killed Dykes.
- A father shot his two teenage children and the family dog before he killed himself.
- Three year old Tmorej Smith shot himself with a pink handgun that looked like a toy.
