Hello! Well done, you have made it into the future. It is the time of year when we pick ourselves up, look around at the post-Christmas, post-NYE mess and say “fuck it, I can do better than this”. And you can! Ignore the naysayers who say that we do this every year and are doomed to fail. They are wrong and they smell. 2013 is shiny and new and unspoiled. And one of the ways to ensure success is accountability. And that is what we are here for! Join us and tell us your resolutions, so we can encourage you on your way to be becoming less of a dick a better person.
One of the hints for success I have received recently is to focus on one particular resolution, and that is what I am going to do. My one resolution for this year is that I will walk 100 miles a month. This may seem lazy to some of you or a bit much too others, but it is that amount of walking that is attainable for me, while stretching me just a little bit. One thing you could think of while hosing yours is the oft-used SMART criteria: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-sensitive.
So, what are your resolutions for 2013? What tips do you have for achieving good results? I am hoping to do a post on the first of each month so we can catch up, but I will do a special one next Tuesday to see how everyone has gotten started. If you want your resolutions and achievements so far included in the next (or any other post), let me know in the comment or email me: ctrlaltdelightful at gmail. Picture welcome, naked ones doubly so.
