Don’t you hate it when one of your wives tries to escape your loving and protective custody by fleeing to another country? It’s a good thing that Saudi men now get text message notifications when their children or wives try to bug out.
The trouble seems to have started when a 30 year old woman converted to Christianity and attempted to bolt after having a Ramadan fast induced dream. The logical response to such a thing is to alert all men when one of their dependents (spouse, child, daughter, etc.) tries to leave the country. Then it’s up to the men to figure out why their women are causing such a ruckus.
Some men first noticed this when traveling with their wives, and received a notification when they left together. This has brought about a campaign on social networking sites within Saudi Arabia and abroad. Though the monarchy doesn’t always pay attention to such things.
