Some Reddit dude named ScottDS has spent the time to discover a Princess Leia “coke nail” in a still from Return of the Jedi as evidenced in the pic above via Buzzfeed.
Sure, yes, we know Carrie Fisher spent some quality time doing white lines. This isn’t new. She’s written books and has appeared in one-woman shows about the topic. Well, that, and the dysfunctional relationship she’s had with her mother, Debbie Reynolds, and her father, Eddie Fisher (Elizabeth Taylor Scandal!), among other things including boozing, drugging, and cavorting. FINE! WE GET IT.
However, Scott, we don’t need you to ruin one of our favorite childhood movies by interjecting the sullied, oily world of drugs and mayhem into our consciousness by showing us 1980’s bathroom stall “coke nails” thank you very much. We’d much rather you just showcased an ode to Leia in the gold bikini as you guys are wont to do and not looked for things that would make us think things about the 1980’s and what could’ve been happening behind the scenes when Fisher was filming with Mr. The Hut. There’s enough fear and self-loathing in the world.
REALLY, SCOTT?!
To make a long story short, use your eagle eyeballs for more productive things like deciphering why Harrison Ford looks like something just grazed his balls in an uncomfortable, but not totally unpleasurable, way.
