Witness #9 Claims George Zimmerman Molested Her From the Age of 6

This is pretty unexpected. The life of George Zimmerman just gets more and more sordid. Not only did he kill an unarmed Trayvon Martin in February of this year, a witness for the prosecution, who’s also a family member, has come forward with claims that Zimmerman molested her from the age of six to sixteen.

Special Prosecutor Angela Corey released the statement today with the approval of Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. whom Zimmerman’s legal defense team has recently filed a motion to have removed from the case citing “bias” and the “inability to receive a fair trial” in light of the judge’s comments regarding Zimmerman’s willful misleading of the court during his initial bond hearing. Sounds to us like Zimmerman poisoned the well and doesn’t want to have to deal with the ramifications of, or take responsibility for, the loss of credibility in the court’s eyes.

This new statement recounts Witness #9’s testimony about the interaction she had with Zimmerman that spanned a decade. The Orlando Sentinel reports:

Witness 9 told prosecutors the molestation began when she and Zimmerman, who is two years older than her, were young children. Her parents were moving to another state and she and her sister were sent to stay with Zimmerman’s family in Virginia.

“We would all lay in front of the TV” to watch movies, she said, “and he would reach under the blankets and try to do things. … I would try to push him off, but he was bigger and stronger and older,” she said.

He touched her improperly, she said, and at least once, when she was 12, forced her to touch him.

The last sexual encounter, she said, happened when she visited Zimmerman’s family in Lake Mary. He directed her to lay on a bed and began to massage her, she said.

“I just got up and I ran out of the house and I got in my car,” she said, adding that Zimmerman “only chased me to the front door.”

She and her parents eventually confronted Zimmerman at an Orlando-area restaurant, she said. Zimmerman said he was sorry and left, she said.

She also claims that Zimmerman’s family does not like black people.

Zimmerman’s family, she said, “don’t like black people if they don’t act like white people. They like black people if they act white.”

So perhaps we’re to gather that Zimmerman is a predator a long time in the making, then? Interesting.

Zimmerman’s lawyer attempted to suppress this information as well as 145 of 151 phone calls Zimmerman placed from jail. The phone recordings will also be released today. Stay tuned.
