Donald Glover Bares His Soul as Childish Gambino with “Camp”

Writer, actor, comedian, and, as his alter-ego Childish Gambino, musician, Donald Glover is an industry quadruple threat. His fourth album and his first commercial release, Camp, is intensely personal but wholly relatable. He raps and sings about growing up ‘not black enough’, relationships, fame, the entertainment industry, insecurity, and the constant stream of cultural references that we’ve come to expect from him. All this over a solid foundation of ass-shaking rhythms and melodies.

The album will be released by Glassnote Records November 15, but you can listen to it now at NPR’s First Listen.
