Crasstalk COW: A Day Late

Thirty-plus posts. That’s how many we posts we had during Crasstalk Day of Womanly Things.

By that measure, I’d say it was a rousing success, and the ladies of Crasstalk, and really, all of our contributors, deserve a remarkable amount of credit for this.

That is far from the only thing that happened around these parts this week, of course, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t recognize all the areas where we were entertained by our commenters this week.

From one of our resident legal experts, we got some insight on a new bill being proposed in Congress. It’s very, let’s say, far reaching.

Again, obviously Occupy Wall Street was a topic of discussion around here, including how some representatives are saying some rather unpleasant things.

That’s the most apt description of Peter King that I think I’ve ever heard.

Then again, others here had ides for who else could join up with the protests, based on Spirit Fingers post about coffee shop dwellers:

It would make it easier for the rest of us to find someplace to sit down for the 15 minutes we have there, for sure.

Now, the Wall Street protests have also spurred other takes on the 99%/1% theme.  To wit:

Admit it, HV, you were only kind of kidding. There’s really no way to top that.

As always, folks, thank you so much for the nominations-the volume ticked up again this week after a couple of weeks of not doing so well. It makes me happy to see that, as I know there are a lot of funny, insightful things that happen out there in the posts each week that I can’t possibly catch them all without your help. As always, anonymous nominations (with screen shots, if you can!) can be sent to [email protected]!
