Super Squats Club 2.0

Welcome to Super Squats Club v 2.0!

Over the next 8 weeks, we’ll be on a fitness journey together. For me, this 8 weeks will culminate in me running the San Antonio Rock n Roll Half Marathon. This will be the 7th half marathon of my running career. My current 13.1 PR (personal record) is 2:42:52, which I set in New Orleans earlier this year. My ultimate goal is to run a 2:30 half. When I ran the Chicago race in August, I kept up with the 2:30 pace group for about half the race and just sputtered out around mile 11. Though that had more to do with my poor training than anything else. Realistically, for this race I think I should be able to finish at or around the 2:40 mark. There is no pace group this time so I really have to rely on my own disciple.

Two key things I have that will help me achieve my goal are: 1) an eight week training program I found in a fitness magazine last year. I’ve used this program before. Last year it helped me take 11 minutes off my half marathon time. ELEVEN MINUTES! and, 2) a personal trainer I see once a week.
