Soundtrack to a Breakdance Fight

Okay guys, throw down some cardboard and step back and form a breaking circle. Its on.

1. Afrika Bambaataa – Planet Rock

As of 2011 the Zulu Nation is still rocking, hard.

2. Newcleus – Jam On It

3. Run DMC – Peter Piper

This is the CLASSIC Doubles record. If you’re a hip hop DJ and don’t have doubles of this tune, you’re automatically wack.

4. Incredible Bongo Band – Apache

Classic.

5. Ultramagnetic MC’s – Critical Beatdown

7. Eric B & Rakim – Don’t sweat the Technique

Thank God for Rakim. If he never came around people would still be MC’ing in the style of Run DMC and the Sugarhill Gang. His flow and delivery are really current, even though this was produced in 1987.

8. Rob Base & DJ Ez-Rock – It takes Two

I get stoopid I mean outrageous, stay away from me if you’re contagious! James Brown samples from the 60’s, Funk drums from the 70’s and a drum machine from the 80’s combine to make the CLASSIC tune. Even your Mom likes this jam.

9. Das EFX – They Want EFX

10. DJ Shadow – Organ Donar

I included a DJ Shadow cut not because I’m booty-ass new school, but because every BBoying vid produced in the last 10 years includes this tune. Awesome.

Enjoy these tunes. I didn’t go for a lot of classics, cause they’ll be in on the Sample Game (played every Monday.) Rock out.
