Kawauchi Rinko is a Japanese artist who specializes in capturing the beauty of everyday events and objects. Kawauchi’s photos run strong with themes of nature, birth, and human interactions with the world around them. Always in muted pastels her photos are calm, clean, and heavy on the negative space.
Kawauchi says “for a photographer, it’s a necessity that you can shoot stuff magically. accidents are necessary, but after I take a photograph, it is not all done. I continue to work on it.“
How Kawauchi shows her work is as important as the actual image itself. She shows her photos in traditional settings, in slide shows, and with her own poetry presented alongside her images.
