Four conversations are three too many. Continue reading
One of the comments I read the other day (yesterday?) got me thinking about this (Thanks, Delta!). I’d say that I’m left-handed but not exclusively and maybe not for most of the day. I write, eat, draw, and if I played guitar, I would be rockin’ out with the lefties. However, I use scissors, play tennis, and use a computer mouse right-handed. That last one was the first conscious decision I had ever made about which hand to go with.
According to the Daily Infographic, 15% of people are left-handed. They tend to be smarter but more alcoholic. According to my research of myself, I think that holds true. Continue reading

In order to visit Jerusalem’s Temple Mount — which includes sites holy to Muslims, Jews, Christians and others — non-Muslims are expected to follow guidelines set by the Jordanian Ministry of Religious Places. In order to play a round of golf at the revered site of Augusta National, you need an invitation from a club member. To visit the Scientology Celebrity Center on Franklin Boulevard in Los Angeles, it surely helps to be a member of the church. And also a celebrity. Continue reading
The government of Sweden has a Twitter account and every week they hand the keys over to a new citizen curator. On paper it sounds like a fantastic way to show the world the diversity of its society and to start conversations with people a government official wouldn’t appeal to. Ladies, we need to talk about this. I call a general strike. Beginning September 21, 2012.
No cooking. No cleaning. No work. No sex. We will not nurse our babies. Let the men deal with warming a bottle of breast-milk from the freezer. We will not change nappies, or go to the grocery store, or give a BJ, or take the kids to school, or wake up early to get them ready, or go to our respective jobs because the majority of us work full time while being the primary parent… No. It’s all on them. Let them know the balance of work and family for once. Obviously, working, full-time dads, this does not apply to you. Continue reading
