- Greece’s center-right party has demanded the resignation of Prime Minister George Papandreou. Opposition members of parliament staged a walkout yesterday, throwing the country’s financial markets into chaos. Papandreou faces a no confidence vote today.
- The Atlantic has a great article about poverty and location in the US. It shows how poverty has moved over the last 20 years, and how we have lost ground in reducing poverty.
- China is causing alarm among its neighbors because it has been upgrading its nuclear weapons program. India and Russia have raised concerns that China is now targeting them with 7,200 km-range DF-31 missiles.
